Solar System to Ecosystems

Earlier in the year we traveled through our Solar System!  This term we have looked deep inside of ecosystems.  You have looked microscopically close and macroscopically far to discover the awe and amazement of life, our world and beyond!

We will end our Science and systems units with a case study of our local Malaysian Rainforest.  It could be that the best is yet to come.  There are more kinds of species of flora and fauna in the rainforest than any other land biome.  The layers of the rainforest are like an incredible tale of wonder, color, fear, and unbelievable existence.

Zoo Trip Journal

Keep track of your Zoo Trip Journal.  During Guided Reading centers next week, you will need your notes from our zoo field trip.  Time to take the next step with your own observation data by doing some research

Math Games are the Future

Now that you know exactly which facts you still have to learn, learn them!

Play games, find patterns, but mostly play math games!

When we want to memorize facts: songs, flash cards and games can help.

Take advantage of Grade 3 Math Games following the end of World Math Day this week.   There will be competitions and opportunities to play games in groups that are fun and give you what you need to be fluent mathematicians!

Toward the End of an Author Study

Students!

As a teacher, it has been a tremendously rewarding experience studying Allen Say with you this term.  I am so proud of your thinking, effort and enthusiasm!

You have only a few weeks left to finish your final literature response and letter to Allen say.

Good Luck with your small groups theme presentations.  I have seen the hard work that has gone into creating and preparing for these presentations.  I look forward to being dazzled!
